Well, last Sunday was my birthday. My parents came out from Colorado to see me, and we spent the weekend together. I got them tickets to the Wake Forest game, and we went to Famous Dave's afterwards. On Sunday, I had my first two legal magaritas at Tico's, and later we went to Lazlo's for dinner where I had their beer sampler. We finished the evening with a bottle of Champagne - the real stuff, not just sparkling wine. Later today I am going out with friends to Tico's to celebrate Tracy's and my birthdays. More margaritas!

For the last few days, there has been a crazy preacher at the Union, telling all passers-by that they are going to hell. And that's not all. The crowd got pretty argumentative, but the situation seemed to reach a new level altogether when the preacher asked one of the guys present if he still masturbated. And by asked, I mean yelled.

Apparently this man actually thinks that he is without sin. Who does he think he is? And he doesn't seem to be interested in converting people or anything like that. He was merely informing the world that we are all going to hell. Of course, these bible-beater types don't take well to arguments, either. When he heard a question he didn't like, he simply ignored it. So, everyone in the crowd was either very amused like me, or very angry. Many students actually got up and apologized for him. I just took his speech with a grain of salt. Besides, it made for some interesting pictures. See the previous photo posts.

Final score: Huskers 25, Maine 7. But don't let the score fool you - we sucked. The offense's only touchdown was handed to them. Although they were given the opportunity many times (often within 10 yards), they only managed to score one touchdown. We scored four field goals as a result. The defense even managed to put points on the board; a picked pass lead to our second touchdown. All I can say is that if we had played anyone much better, we would have been ripped to shreads.

However, all is not lost. We did still win, after all. Just don't look for the Huskers to reappear in the top 25 any time soon. And in the mean time, perhaps the offense will decide to show up.
